I'm totally addicted to this Houston band. I recently met Eric, the incredibly talented trumpet player - very cool guy. The sound is new and old and just awesome. I love this entire album. "Maybe It's True" is haunting to me.

iphone pics from black friday at the gap! We're so excited because my little sister is having her first baby! She's 16 weeks and barely showing so she tried on clothes with the strap-on bump. Ellen thought it was the coolest thing ever! This is a perfect Best Shot Monday for today.

Congrats to Lisa from Montana! You won a little birdie from my new flock! I just sent you an email!

Congrats to Tynan and Susan Chavira - they won the fab new book from Kirtsy! Emails are on their way.

PS - After my Inspiration Interview with Laura, I received lots of emails asking me to explain the difference between horsesh*t and bullsh*t. The notes were mostly from Californians and Canadians - for some reason, I think that's funny. I'm working on a post now. If you're curious or simply want to be schooled in Texas talk, stay tuned.
