squawking and flapping around

So sorry that I've been MIA for the past couple of days weeks. I have a book deadline that's practically killing me. The bad news is that the release date for The Gifts of Imperfection - the book that I'm writing - has been pushed back to September. The good news is that I really love this book! It's evolved into something that I never expected. It includes all of my work on authenticity, love and belonging, joy, gratitude, worthiness, and wholeheartedness. I can't wait to share it with you!

Also, don't forget that the PNN Read-Along of I Thought It Was Just Me starts this week! Anj and Sally make an amazing team - it's going to be quite the adventure in self-love!

And, last but not least, a DVD of my newest lecture is going to be available in a few weeks. It's a 1-hour talk called, The Hustle for Worthiness: Exploring the Power of Love, Belonging, and Being Enough. I'm sure that there will be a giveaway involved. Stay tuned!

That's it for now. I'm going to keep my head down and keep writing - one twig at time!

You and your work are ALWAYS worth the wait Ms. Geddy Lee Wanna-Be. (Ha!) Anj and I are about 10 minutes away from a phone chat about Wednesday's (Feb. 10th) Read-Along launch. We DO make a fabulous team and we're BOTH grateful for your trust in us to co-facilitate this most important work. Not sure which one of us is Squawking (probably Anj) and which is Flapping Around (probably me) ... but we'll do our best either way. Keep weaving your twigs ~ I also can't wait for this new book I just know I'm going to love ... xxx

I've been excited about the new book for a while, but a DVD, too? Excellent! Thanks for passing along the news, Brené.

Ah yes, the squawking and flapping seem to be part of the creative process. Patience and perseverance seem like such unglamourous qualities to me. But wow, they sure do get the job done.
Very much looking forward to the DVD. And it sounds like the new book might arrive just in time for my 40th birthday! Woohoo! :D
Thank you for all that you are.

Loving your analogy. Really, that is life as well as writing. And sometimes, when we thought we had the right twig, it turns out to not be quite it yet...

Thanks for that quote! I needed it.

I'm glad to get your music recommendations - I've been wanting to hear some good music. Man oh man what a fantastic band.

I just love Kate Earl!

Have a great week -

Just don't bogart all those twigs, man. I need some over here.

(Happy writing, friend.)

I love it!! Squawking and flapping! it sounds a lot like my life. The funny thing is that once I quiet myself and just do the work, it is never as hard as I think it will be and it always makes me feel better!

Thank you for sharing your struggles, sometimes I forget that everyone struggles some times. I am currently reading a blog about a woman (a knitter and fiber enthusiast!) who is taking one year off. Her "year of doing nothing". It is very inspiring how she is dealing with her struggles.

I am sure it will be worth the wait. I'm looking forward to it!

Brenè, I love how you always crystallize what I am thinking. When I write, I often feel like a crow looking for shiny bits to weave into something fine and worthy. I hope you do not mind, but I printed out your quote and it is now by my computer. Thank you.
