tgif + giveaway winner + little inspirations

Congrats to Lisa Jordan! You won a spot in Marianne's amazing 30 Days of Yoga!

If you haven't registered for the June 12th class - there are still a few spaces available her. If you want to do something special for yourself - this is an amazing act of self-care!

Today, I'm trusting that May will eventually end and that I'll still be standing.

I'm grateful for Steve. He's so kind and calm. Even when I'm not.

I'm inspired by so much this week! I have two new albums on my sidebar. Check 'em out!

I'm also inspired by Karen Walrond's new book trailer. Her book is now available for pre-order and the video is wonderful!

Last, I'm inspired by this Danish flash mob kindness. I think it's so important to stop and acknowledge that there is goodness in the world. Sometimes it's easy to forget. Thanks to Ali for the link.

Happy TGIF! I hope you join me for this weekly practice. What are you trusting, grateful for, and inspired by this week?

Oh how I need some TGIF today!!!

Today, I'm trusting that when school starts in August I won't be so bored. I am trusting that it is OK to relax right now. I am trusting that I am doing the right thing but not committing to AWESOME opportunities that I will have no time for in a matter of 3 months. Did I mention that I am trusting that it is OK to relax now?

I'm grateful for the fact that the "journey" is never over.... trying to be, anyway!

I'm inspired by people who are creative with limited resources, whether it be decorating on a dime or putting on a play with a shoestring budget. I think it forces us to think outside the box even more.

The timing of this is beyond amazing! Thank you so much for this-it really speaks to what has been simmering in my brain this week. I am in an online support group--would it be okay if I used a little bit of this for an inspirational quote? -- I would give you full credit of course.

Thank you for sharing this.

Today I am trusting my decision to support and love myself first and the rest will come.

I am grateful for supportive through the trying times family and friends.

Watching the "Hustle for Worthiness" today has inspired me to delve in to acceptance, understand my shame story (I'm reading I thought it was me)and share the dvd.

Today I am trusting that God will provide for everything I need no matter what the circumstances.

I am grateful for people who love me just the way I am.

Oh I love both videos so much! The second one made me cry. Thank you for sharing! And timely, too, just when I'd decided to hate all people (uhm...)

Today, I'm trusting that all this pain and confusion will eventually lead someplace beautiful.

I'm grateful for pizza and sitcoms.

I'm inspired by my friend to take care of myself.

Keep on standing! ♥

Today is my 50th birthday and I am inspired by the little things in life and am trusting that the next 50 years will be as wonderful as the last 50 years have been:

I'm grateful for my little family and how we rally to each other's causes.

I'm trusting that it's enough to just be pregnant, that I don't have to sustain all the other parts of my life with the same energy and drive I would normally, that it's enough to just be. (Scares the crap out of me just to say it.)

I'm grateful for this site, for the honesty and courage of people, and for my good sense to seek them out and listen.

And this week, I'm inspired by my own courage. I'm 16 weeks pregnant, paraplegic, and up until a couple of days ago, totally laid out by pregnancy. I blessed my husband's trip back east, have been reaching out to others when I need help and spending my days exploring my limits and feeding my soul. I just might be a rock star.

I just wanted to thank you for the link to the book trailer because in it is a quote I have never read before but I think will change my life in a huge way:

Deena Metzger: 'Beauty appears when something is completely and absolutely and openly itself.'

Wow. I think something very huge just unlocked very deep inside me. Thank you!

I'm trusting myself to balance.

I'm grateful for sunny springtime days, the most glorious (and infrequent!) gift of nature.

I'm inspired by the recognition of beauty as something soulful, deep and ever-present.

I'm trusting that even though I feel like I'm stuck on a treadmill right now and can't get off, this frenetic pace of life will come to a screeching halt on Thursday afternoon. Summer vacation is so close I can taste it!

I'm grateful for a patient husband. He keeps his cool--even when I do not. (Along the same lines as yours, Brene!)

I'm inspired by people who have dreamed big dreams, and gone after them.

Brene--I found your blog by way of Ali Edwards. Both you and Ali are inspirations to me-- you dreamed big and followed your dreams. Thanks for inspiring me and many others! :-)

Brene,
I stumbled upon your blog a while back, and when a dear friend of mine started a "Slim-Down Sundays" (http://cheeksgalore.blogspot.com/2010/05/hindsight-is-2020.html) project on her blog in order to be healthier and happier, I thought about you and what you do. My friend Sarah (http://cheeksgalore.blogspot.com/), invited all of her family, friends and followers to either join her on her project or to start their own.

I've always had poor self-esteem, but lately I have really truly been cruel to myself, beating myself up at every chance...so with this HUGE inspiration from a remarkable friend (Sarah), I started my "Self-Kindness Sundays". I wanted to share both Sarah's remarkable and original idea and my spin-off with you and your readers in hopes of inspiring others to join us on our personal development quests.

So this is a formal invitation to join Sarah and myself on personal development projects. Create your own spin on it, follow us on our challenges, let us know your ideas and personal challenges so we can be inspired by you and follow you on your journeys.

So here is my project plan: http://marnold13.blogspot.com/2010/05/is-20-new-magic-number.html

and the first week: http://marnold13.blogspot.com/2010/05/self-kindness-sundays-week-1-of-20.html

Thank you Brene and Sarah for being hugely inspiring and remarkable

I trust that I am in the right place and I am at peace.

I am grateful for all the fallen soldiers and I am so grateful for my Dad, my husband and my son for serving our country in the Army, Coast Guard and Marines and for coming home safely.

I am inspired by good friends who share their stories with me and then listen to my story and now I see how we find joy in our tears and vulnerability, through this incredible connection.
